Atlantis 35th Anniversary Show
The Atlantis 35th Anniversary Show, or more properly Funcion Homenaje a Atlantis por 35 Años de carrera luchistica (Spanish for "Tribute to Atlantis for his 35 year career in wrestling") was a professional wrestling super card held on July 13, 2018. The show was produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL: Spanish for "World Wrestling Council") and took place at Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. The special edition of CMLL's Super Viernes show honored CMLL wrestler Atlantis for reaching his 35th anniversary as a professional wrestler. While the event honored Atlantis he did not work the main event match, instead he teamed up with old partners Octagón and Rayo de Jalisco Jr. to defeat the team of Fuerza Guerrera, Máscara Año 2000 and Último Guerrero. Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. (CMLL; , "World Wrestling Council") is a ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. Damián Gutiérrez Hernández (born April 12, 1976), better known by his ring name El Terrible, is a Mexican professional wrestler who currently works for the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He portrays a ''rudo'' ("bad guy") wrestling character. He started out under the ring name Engendro del Mal ("Spawn of Evil") and later adopted the name Damián El Terrible, before being shortened to his current name. Arturo Díaz Mendoza (March 23, 1952 – August 21, 2018) was a Mexican professional wrestler who performed under the ring name Villano III (in Spanish Villano Tercero). Díaz was a second-generation wrestler, son of ''luchador'' Ray Mendoza and the father of professional wrestlers Villano III Jr. and El Hijo del Villano III himself. All five of the Díaz brothers used the Villano name; José de Jesús (Villano I), José Alfredo (Villano II), Tomás (Villano IV) and Raymundo (Villano V). Jesús Reza Rosales (born January 15, 1951) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Mano Negra. Mano Negra is Spanish for "The Black Hand" and is taken from the Spanish anarchist organisation ''La Mano Negra''. Pablo Fuentes Reyna (December 31, 1956 – January 12, 2012) was a Mexican luchador (Spanish for professional wrestler) best known under the ring name MS-1 (MS Uno). As MS-1, Fuentes was a founding member of the wrestling group called ''Los Infernales'' (the Infernals) and achieved most of his success as part of the group, including being the first Mexican National Trios Champions and the first CMLL World Trios Champions. Arturo Beristain (born September 5, 1949) is a retired Mexican professional wrestler, or ''Luchador'' in Spanish, who works as a wrestling trainer at the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) gym in Mexico City, Mexico. Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling.
