Atlanta Braves Radio Network
The Atlanta Braves Radio Network is a 138-station network (97 A.M., 41 F.M. stations + 1 F.M. translator) heard across ten states and one territory of the Southeastern United States that airs Major League Baseball games of the Atlanta Braves. The flagship station is WCNN in Atlanta, Georgia. The primary booth announcers are Ben Ingram and Joe Simpson, who alternate between play-by-play and color commentary on most game broadcasts, with Jim Powell also calling select games. Chris Dimino and Kevin McAlpin host the pregame and postgame shows. Mark Lemke provides pregame/postgame analysis and occasionally fills in for Simpson on game broadcasts. The engineer and game producer for Braves Network broadcasts is Jonathan Chadwick. The Miami Marlins are an American professional baseball team based in Miami. The Marlins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. The club's home ballpark is LoanDepot Park. The franchise began play as an expansion team in the 1993 season as the Florida Marlins. Centre, Alabama
Centre is a city in Cherokee County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 3,587. The city is the county seat of Cherokee County. History Cherokee County was created on January 9, 1836, and named for the Cherokee people who once lived in the area. The famous Cherokee chief Pathkiller lived in Turkeytown near the present town of Centre. In 1836 the newly founded town of Cedar Bluff became the county seat, but in 1844 the county seat was moved to the more centrally located town of Centre. The name was chosen, and carries the British English spelling, because of this central location in the county. History On April 15, 1998, longtime-owner of Bridgeport Broadcasting Company, the licensee for this station, then known as WBTS, Roy C. McCloud died. WJOX (690 kHz, "Jox 3") is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Birmingham, Alabama. It is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts a sports radio format. WJOX is the Birmingham affiliate of the UAB Blazers Radio Network (baseball only), the Tennessee Titans Radio Network and the Atlanta Braves Radio Network. It used to be the broadcast home of the Birmingham Barons. The station has studios and offices in Homewood. By day, WJOX broadcasts at 50,000 watts, the maximum for commercial AM stations.
