Atlanta Blackhawks
Atlanta Blackhawks was an American soccer team based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Founded in 2009, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Southeast Division of the Southern Conference. The franchise folded at the end of the 2010 season and left the league thereafter. The team played its home games in the stadium at Alpharetta High School in nearby Alpharetta, Georgia. The team's colors were black and white. History The Blackhawks joined the PDL in 2009, and played their first ever game on May 9, 2009, away at Mississippi Brilla. The Blackhawks lost game 2–1, with the first goal in franchise history being scored by Babayele Sodade. Alpharetta High School is a public high school located in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States within the Fulton County School System. ''Atlanta Magazine'' named Alpharetta High School one of the metro Atlanta area's best all-around high schools. In 2020, the '' U.S. News & World Report'' ranked the school #7 in Georgia and #281 nationally. History The school was opened in 2004 to educate students in grades 9 to 12. The school was opened due to the growing number of students in Chattahoochee High School. The 330,000 square foot school was designed by Perkins and Will with sustainable design in mind. Jon Cox (born December 30, 1986, in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American soccer player. Career College and Amateur Cox grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia, attended Milton High School, played club soccer for United Quest Soccer Club, and played five years of college soccer at Georgia Southern University, redshirting his freshman season, eventually making his debut in 2007. He led the Eagles in scoring as a freshman with six goals and five assists, wa named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year - the first time a Georgia Southern player won the award - and was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team, the NSCAA All-Region Team, and earned College Soccer News Freshman All-American honors. Boubacar Toure
Boubacar Toure (born 31 December 1995) is a Senegalese professional basketball player for Valencia of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Grand Canyon Antelopes and Eastern Michigan Eagles. Early life and high school career Toure was born and grew up in Dakar. The first time he began playing basketball, he decided he wanted to become a professional player. Toure's volleyball coach attempted to get him to give up basketball, but he refused. He attended a prestigious basketball camp in Johannesburg, with NBA coaches in attendance. Toure moved to the United States in 2013 to play basketball. Nicholas John Burton (born 10 February 1975, in Bury St Edmunds) is an English former professional footballer. He played as a central defender and played in the Football League for Torquay United. Alexander Caskey (born July 22, 1988) is a former American soccer player. Career College and amateur Caskey played college soccer at Davidson College for four seasons where he was a three-time All-Southern Conference first team selection and a two-time NSCAA All-South Region second team selection.
