Rosemary Little
Rosemary Little (born 27 August 1982) is an Australian Paralympic athlete. She won a bronze medal in wheelchair racing at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, and has also competed in handcycling. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, her third Games, where switched from wheelchair racing to shot put. Personal Little was born on 27 August 1982 in Mackay, Queensland, and is from West Pennant Hills, New South Wales. She has a brain injury as a result of a brain virus. She has studied occupational therapy at the University of Sydney and speech and audiology at the Macquarie University. Little has represented Australia in handcycling. Kristy Pond (born 25 July 1996) is an Australian athletics competitor. She was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in athletics in the 100 metre and 200 metre events. She did not medal at the 2012 Games. Personal Pond was born on 25 July 1996, and is from Baulkham Hills, New South Wales. She has cerebral palsy. Melissa Nicholls (born 17 July 1977) is a British wheelchair athlete specialising in middle-distance events in the T34 classification. Nicholls competed in the 2012 Summer Paralympics and won a silver medal in the 800m at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships. Personal history Nicholls was born in Worcester in 1977. She studied Equine Science at Hartpury College and works as a teaching assistant at Winchcombe Abbey School. Nicholls was involved in a serious car accident which left her with heart complications. From 2001 she had a series of strokes, while a stroke in 2008 left her unable to use her left arm and leg. In April 2009 doctors discovered a hole in her heart for which she underwent corrective surgery. In 2020, Nicholls had a 5 kg ovarian tumour removed at Cheltenham General Hospital. Hannah Lucy Cockroft (born 30 July 1992) is a British wheelchair racer specialising in sprint distances in the T34 classification. She holds the world records for the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres and 1500 metres in her classification and the Paralympic records at 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres. Competing for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, she won two gold medals. She won three further gold medals at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
