Donald O'Riley Quarrie CD (born 25 February 1951) is a Jamaican former track and field athlete, one of the world's top sprinters during the 1970s. At the 1976 Summer Olympics he was the gold medallist in the Olympic 200 meters and silver medallist in the Olympic 100 meters. In all, he competed in five Olympic Games and won four Olympic medals during his career. He nearly equalled the 200 meters world recordin 1971, coming within .03 seconds of the record set by Tommie Smith in 1968. He has lifetime bests of 10.07 seconds and 19.86 seconds for the events. Antoine Xavier Adams (born 31 August 1988) is a Saint Kitts and Nevis sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres. Adams helped win a bronze medal as a part of the 4 × 100 m relay team at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea. Born 31 August 1988, in Cayon Antoine Adams excelled in Track & Field in his early years leading up to high school. Upon graduating Cayon High School he attended The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College but left after a couple months. Antoine decided to further his track career and registered for community college in Houston and later met his coach Eric Francis. In 2013 at the CAC Championships in Morelia, Adams broke the 200 National Record of St. Kitts and Nevis, bringing it down to 20.13s. Michael Herrera (born 5 June 1985) is a Cuban track and field sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres. He has a personal best of 20.31 seconds for the event and has also recorded 10.16 seconds for the 100 metres. He was a semi-finalist at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and has represented Cuba at the Pan American Games in 2007 and 2011. Michael Mathieu (born 24 June 1984) is a retired Bahamian sprinter from Freeport, Grand Bahama who specialized in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He was part of the Bahamian silver medal-winning team in the men's 4×400 metres relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, running second leg and recording a 44.0 split, and the gold medal-winning team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also a part of second place relay team at the 2007 World Championships. He won the bronze medal in the 4x400 metres relay in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Álex Leonardo Quiñónez Martínez (11 August 1989 – 22 October 2021) was an Ecuadorian sprinter who competed in the 100 metres and 200 metres. Shot to death in October 2021, he was the second runner to be murdered that month, alongside fellow bronze medalist Agnes Tirop. He won the 100 m and 200m at the 2012 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics, with his 20.34s national record in the 200 m qualifying him for the Olympics. He ran a new Ecuadorian national record of 20.28 s in the heats of the 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics and qualified himself for the final. He finished seventh in the final. Quiñónez won the bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships in the 200 metres event.
