Jackie Christiansen
Jackie Christiansen (born 5 March 1977) is a Paralympic athlete from Denmark. When he was 17, he broke his leg during a football game. Because of a medical error, he developed gangrene, and his left leg was amputated below the knee. He competes in throwing events in the F44 classification. Christiansen has competed in four Paralympics starting in 2000 in Sydney, Australia where he finished sixth in the shot put for F44 athletes. He later improved on this, winning gold in 2004 in the F44/46 class and in 2008 in the F44 class. He also won two silver medals in the discus, in the F44/46 class in 2004 and the F44 class in 2008. He won the F42/44 shot put gold medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Daniel Greaves (born 4 October 1982) is a British athlete who specialises in the discus throw. Biography Greaves was born in Anstey, Leicestershire in 1982. Greaves won the gold medal in the F44/46 category discus throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, establishing a new world record with a throw of 55.12m. Paul Raison (born 29 December 1977) is a Paralympian athlete from Australia competing in category F44 shot put, discus and 4 × 100 m relay events. He was born in Townsville, Queensland. He had his leg amputated below the knee following a motorcycle accident in 2004. His very first International Competition was in the Netherlands – September 2006 at the IPC World Championships where he finished 6th for Shot Put and 7th for discus. On 10–18 May 2007 in Darwin he competed at the IPC Oceania Championships. There he won two Gold Medals for Shot Put and Discus (IPC Oceania Championships).
