Oscar Pistorius
Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius (; ; born 22 November 1986) is a South African convicted murderer and former professional sprinter. Both of his feet were amputated when he was 11 months old owing to a congenital defect; he was born missing the outside of both feet and both fibulae. Pistorius ran in both nondisabled sprint events and in sprint events for below-knee amputees. He was the 10th athlete to compete at both the Paralympic Games and Olympic Games. After becoming a Paralympic champion, Pistorius attempted to enter nondisabled international competitions, over persistent objections by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and arguments that his artificial limbs gave an unfair advantage. Ian Jones is a Paralympian athlete from Great Britain competing mainly in category T44 sprint events. Ian started his athletics career running 100m & 200m but made a successful step-up to 400m in 2007. He ran then personal bests for 100m (11.88) and 200m (23.82) for two silvers behind Oscar Pistorious at the 2007 Paralympic World Cup. Ian is a qualified football and disability sports coach and coaches in the Manchester and Stockport area. When he was younger, he had football trials with Manchester United and Stockport County and is a judo black belt. Danny Andrews is a paralympic athlete from the United States competing mainly in category T44 sprint events. Andrews competed in the 800m at the 2000 Summer Paralympics but it was in moving down in distance in the 2004 Summer Paralympics that he won three Paralymipc gold medals in the 400m, 4 × 100 m and 4 × 400 m as well as competing in the 200m. Stephen Wilson (Paralympian)
Stephen Raymond Wilson, OAM (born 28 December 1971) is an Australian Paralympic athlete. Personal Wilson was born in Sydney on 28 December 1971. In 1986, while he was a student at Newington College (1984–1987), Wilson was hit by a truck and doctors were forced to amputate his right leg just below the knee. He is married and has five children. He was a physical education teacher, was the principal of Dalby Christian College and is currently the principal of Livingstone Christian College. Competitive career Wilson took up competitive running in 1997; in that year he competed at his first national competition and received the Developing Paralympian of the Year Award. Michael Linhart (born 31 August 1958) is an Austrian diplomat and politician who was appointed as the new Austrian Ambassador at Berlin on 15 December 2021. Before that, he served as minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Austria in the Schallenberg government from 11 October to 6 December 2021, ambassador of the Republic of Austria to France from 2018 to 2021 and Secretary-General at the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2018. Early life Michael Linhart was born on 31 August 1958 in Ankara, Turkey, where his father was a diplomat at the Austrian embassy.
