The athletics events at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games were held at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila, Philippines. The Marathon event was run from the Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay, Philippines on December 4, 2005. Rizal Memorial Sports Complex
The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC; formerly known as Rizal Memorial Field) is a national sports complex of the Philippines, located on Pablo Ocampo St. (formerly Vito Cruz St.), Malate, Manila. It is named in honor of the country's national hero, José Rizal (1861–1896). The complex is currently managed by the Philippine Sports Commission, while the property is owned by the Manila City government. The complex also houses the administrative office of the PSC, and quarters for the Philippine national athletes. Lê Văn Dương (born 21 September 1985) is a Vietnamese middle distance athlete whose main event is the 800 metres. Duong competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics. Vũ Thị Hương (born October 7, 1986, in Định Hóa, Thái Nguyên) is a track and field sprint athlete who competes internationally for Vietnam. Huong (she is referred to by her first name Huong, as is the custom in Vietnam) won the silver medal in women's 100m event and the bronze medal in women's 200m event at the 2007 Asian Athletics Championship in Amman, Jordan. Emerson Obiena is a Filipino pole vaulter and coach. Obiena is silver medalist at the 1993 Southeast Asian Games finishing behind fellow countryman, Edward Lasquete in the pole vault event and at the 1999 Southeast Asian Games. The last medal he won in an international competition was a bronze, which he obtained at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.
