Robson Da Silva
Robson Caetano da Silva (born September 4, 1964 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian sprinter. He participated in four consecutive Olympic Summer Games (1984, 1988, 1992, 1996) and won the bronze medal over 200 metres in the 1988 Seoul Olympics as well as in the 4×100 m relay in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Da Silva won three victories at World Cup competitions (1985, 1989, and 1992) over 200 m. He set two South American records over 100 metres and five over 200 m. In 1989, he was ranked No. 1 in the world with a time of 19.96 s over 200 m. His personal best of 10.00 makes him the fastest South American in history. Steve Brimacombe
Steve Brimacombe (born 7 May 1971) is an Australian athletics coach and former runner. Under the tutelage of renowned Scottish coach Jim Bradley, Brimacombe won the 1991 Stawell Gift after only 8 months of training. At the time he was only 19 and the second youngest winner in Stawell Gift history. In December 1991, Brimacombe won the prestigious Bay Sheffield off 3.75m. On 28 December 1992, Brimacombe set a Colley Reserve track record of 12.28secs off scratch in his semi-final of the prestigious Bay Sheffield. In 1994, Brimacombe caused a huge upset when he won the Australian 200m title beating Dean Capobianco and Damien Marsh who had both run in the 200m world championship final in 1993. Paul Henderson (born 13 March 1971) is an Australian former track and field sprinter. He won silver medals with the Australian 4×100 metres relay team at the Commonwealth Games in 1994 and 1995 World Championships in Athletics. Florian Schwarthoff (born May 7, 1968 in Dortmund) is a former German hurdler best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Schwarthoff had his best season in 1995 when set a new German record of 13.05 sec. in Bremen. He was expected to compete for a silver or bronze medal at the World Championships in Gothenburg behind the overwhelming favourite Allen Johnson from the United States.
