Athletics events at the 2012 Summer Paralympics were held in the Olympic Stadium and in The Mall in London, United Kingdom, from 31 August to 9 September 2012. Classification Athletes were given a classification depending on the type and extent of their disability. The classification system allowed athletes to compete against others with a similar level of function. The athletics classifications are: *11–13: Blind (11) and visually impaired (12, 13) athletes *20: Athletes with an intellectual disability *31–38: Athletes with cerebral palsy *40: Les Autres (others) (including people with dwarfism) *42–46: Amputees *51–58: Athletes with a spinal cord disability The class numbers were given prefixes of "T", "F" and "P" for track, field and pentathlon events, respectively. Austin Daniel Pruitt (born August 31, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Oakland Athletics organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros, and Miami Marlins. Career Amateur career Pruitt attended The Woodlands College Park High School in The Woodlands, Texas, where he was a four-year baseball letterer and two-year football letterer, starting at defensive back on the football team. Bojan Mitic (born 27 August 1985) is a Paralympian Track and field athlete from Switzerland competing mainly in category T34 sprint events. Personal history Mitic was born in Lucerne in Switzerland in 1985. He was born premature which resulted in cerebral palsy. He is an engineer by trade. Athletics career Mitic first represented Switzerland at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens. He entered three sprint events but did not finish in a podium place. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London he finished just outside the medal positions in fourth in both the T34 100m and 200m sprints. In 2015 in Doha, Mitic won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Doha in the 100m race.
