Xenia Stad-de Jong
Xenia Stad-de Jong (4 March 1922 – 3 April 2012) was a Dutch track and field athlete who competed in sprinting events. Born in Semarang in the former Dutch East Indies (Indonesia), her greatest success was winning the gold medal as the first runner in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1948 Summer Olympics, together with Netty Witziers-Timmer, Gerda van der Kade-Koudijs and Fanny Blankers-Koen. She took part in the individual 100 metres event, where she was eliminated in the semi-finals. In 1950, she won another medal with the Dutch relay team when they finished second at the 1950 European Championships. She ran in the individual 100 m at the championships as well. Emmy Albus Liersch (13 December 1911 – 20 September 1995) was a German sprinter who won a gold medal in 4 × 100 m relay at the 1938 European Championships, the same year she set a world record in the 4 × 200 m relay. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics her 4 × 100 m team set a world record in the semifinals and led the final until a missed exchange in the final leg. Individually, she finished sixth in the 100 m event. Jeanine Salagoïty (born Toulouse; 16 May 1923 – 29 December 2020) was a French athlete who specialised in the sprints. Biography Salagoïty was born in Lesparre-Médoc. She won ten champion of France titles from 1939 to 1949: three in the 60 meters, four in the 100 meters and three in the 200 meters . She twice improved the French record in the 100 meters (12.1s in 1948 and 12.0s in 1949), as well as the 4 × 100 Metres Relay.
