''Athiradi Padai'' in Tamil / ''Samaram'' in Telugu () is a 1994 Indian bilingual action film directed by R. K. Selvamani. The film stars Rahman, Suman, and Roja whilst Lakshmi, Vijayakumar and Silk Smitha play supporting roles. It was released on 10 February 1994. Plot The film is loosely based on acid attack on Chandralekha IAS. IAS officer Chitralekha (Lakshmi) refuses to clear public land at low price to Adhiseshan (Puneet Issar). Adiseshan gave 30 crores to CM Ramachandra Moorthy (Kota srinivasa Rao/Vinu Chakravarthy) Adiseshan tries to halt investigation by throwing acid on Chitralekha's face, sending goons to attack her daughter Bharathi (Roja), giving sedated chocolate to Chitra's younger daughter and humiliating her in public. Rahman (actor)
Rashin Rahman (born 23 May 1967) is an Indian actor. He has worked in around 200 films, primarily in Malayalam cinema, in addition to Tamil, Hindi and Telugu cinema, and has won several awards. In Tamil and Telugu cinema, he is also known by the screen names Raghuman and Raghu. He made his acting debut in ''Koodevide'' (1983), for which he won his first Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor, becoming the youngest recipient of the award at the age of 16. He was a popular teen idol in Malayalam cinema during the 1980s, which heightened his stardom in Malayalam film industry. He eventually shifted to playing lead roles in Tamil and Telugu films during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Muthulingam (Tamil:''முத்துலிங்கம்'') (born 20 March 1942) is an Indian songwriter. He wrote over 1,500 Tamil film songs, and was the winner of Kalaimamani, Bavender Bharathidasan Award, Best Songwriter Award, Artist Award. He is a former royal poet and a former upper house member. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Bhuvana Chandra is an Indian lyricist, renowned for his work in the Telugu cinema. He served in the Indian Air Force for 18 years before turning into a lyricist.
