Athena (yacht)
''Athena'' is a clipper-bowed three-masted gaff-rigged schooner built by Royal Huisman in 2004 for Internet entrepreneur James H. Clark. Clark purchased a 47.4 meter sloop, '' Hyperion'', from Royal Huisman in 1998. As ''Hyperion'' was nearing completion, Clark began to consider the possibilities of a larger yacht, which could include a theater, library, more guest space and a more capable galley, taking inspiration from the 1920s Krupp built motor yacht "Talitha". The yacht was re-fitted in 2008. It can support 12 guests and 22 crew, and is built under Lloyds Register classification. ''Athena'' is the winner of the Show Boats International Award for Best Sailing Yacht over 40 Meters for 2004. Trinity Inlet
The Trinity Inlet is an oceanic inlet which serves as the port for the city of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The city centre is on the western bank where the inlet meets the Coral Sea. Location and features The Trinity Inlet is located in the original delta of the Mulgrave River, which since the Pleistocene flows to a mouth further south. This is because Volcanic activity which resulted in the rise of Green Hill near the Mulgrave Valley, did not block the river, as sediments from more local streams continued to build up over the volcanic rocks. The Mulgrave River enters the sea at Russell Heads, approximately 30 km south of Trinity Inlet. It is unlikely that a river would shift its course and add a further 30km to its length before entering the sea. ''Hyperion'' is the name of a sailing yacht built by the Royal Huisman in the Netherlands in 1998 and designed by German Frers. At the time of her launch, she was the largest sloop ever built, and had the tallest mast. The carbon-fiber mast clears the deck of the Golden Gate Bridge by only . Sloop
A sloop is a sailboat with a single mast typically having only one headsail in front of the mast and one mainsail aft of (behind) the mast. Such an arrangement is called a fore-and-aft rig, and can be rigged as a Bermuda rig with triangular sails fore and aft, or as a gaff-rig with triangular foresail(s) and a gaff rigged mainsail.
