Athanokkade
''Athanokkade'' () is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Surender Reddy. It was produced by Nandamuri Janaki Ram, Kalyan Ram's elder brother, under the banner N. T. R. Arts. It stars Kalyan Ram, Sindhu Tolani, and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead roles, with the music composed by Mani Sharma. The film was released theatrically on 7 May 2005. Following its commercial success, the film was remade in Tamil as ''Aathi'' (2006) and in Kannada as ''Lakshmana'' (2016). The film was set to be remade in Hindi as ''He, The Only One'', but the film was never released. It was later dubbed in Hindi as ''International Don''. Plot The opening scene shows Anjali sitting on a bench feeding a white pigeon by a calm ocean, and a retired DGP Shankar coming and sitting by her side and exchanging pleasantries. Suddenly, she whips out a knife and stabs him to death with the help of her maternal uncle Ramachandran, saying that she has been waiting for this moment ...

Surender Reddy
Surender Reddy is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. He made his directorial debut with ''Athanokkade'' (2005), which won him Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director. He later directed films such as ''Kick'' (2009)'', Oosaravelli'' (2011), ''Race Gurram'' (2014)'', Dhruva'' (2016), and ''Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy'' (2019). He won SIIMA Award for Best Director – Telugu for ''Race Gurram.'' Early life Reddy was born and brought up in Machanapalli village of Karimnagar district, Telangana. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram (born 5 July 1978) is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Telugu cinema. He is the son of actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna. Ram is best known for his roles in action films such as ''Athanokkade'', ''Hare Ram'' and '' 118''. Ram is the chairperson of the production company N. T. R. Arts, named after his paternal grandfather NTR. ''Lakshmana'' is a 2016 Indian Kannada language action film directed and written by R. Chandru. The film stars newcomer Anoop and Meghana Raj with V. Ravichandran playing a cameo role. The soundtrack and original score is composed by Arjun Janya whilst the cinematography is by Santhosh Rai Pathaje. The film is a remake of Telugu film ''Athanokkade'' (2005) directed by Surender Reddy. The film was officially launched on 12 June 2015 in presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
