Atha Maga Rathiname
''Atha Maga Rathiname'' is a 1994 Indian Tamil language drama film directed by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Selva, Ranjitha, Pandiyan and Viji. The film, produced by Sheela Sivagnanam and S. S. Sivaram, had musical score by Gangai Amaran and was released on 9 December 1994. Plot Muniyandi (Selva) and Pandiamma (Ranjitha) have been in love for many years. Muniyandi always wins his village's bull race against Minor Rajapandi ( Pandiyan). Rajapandi is the village's richest man and has an eye on Pandiamma. Muniyandi's mother Angamma looks for a bride for his son and she finally finds the daughter of a rich man Vijaya (Viji). Angamma then tries to split Muniyandi and Pandiamma. What transpires next forms the rest of the story. Gangai Amaran
Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D. Bhaskar and Pavalar Varadharajan, both who died long back. Composers Karthik Raja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, singer Bhavatharini and costume designer Vasuki Bhaskar are his relations. Shanmugasundari (23 September 1937 – 1 May 2012) was a Tamil actress. she acted in more than 750 films. Her daughter T. K. Kala is also an actress and playback singer. She also appeared in comedy roles along with Vadivelu in many films. Career Shanmugasundari started her stage performances at the age of 5. She survived nearly 45 years in the film industry and did more than 750 films. She was also a dubbing artist. She also acted in comedy roles, especially as a mother of Vadivelu in many films. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture. Ravikanth (actor)
Ravikanth is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. Career Ravi began his professional career as a sound engineer and when the company closed down, he joined a drama troupe. At the troupe, he became acquainted with Charuhasan who introduced him to Ananthu, an associate of director K. Balachander. Soon after, Ravi was given the stage name of Ravikanth and made his acting debut in Balachander's ''Manathil Uruthi Vendum'' (1987).
