''At Play'' (also known as ''Deadmau5 at Play'' and ''At Play Vol. 1'') is a compilation album by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. It is the first installment of Play Records' ''At Play'' series. It was released on October 20, 2008. The album consists of several deadmau5 tracks from his earlier releases (such as ''Vexillology''), tracks from later releases (such as ''Random Album Title''), as well as collaborations with Melleefresh. The tracks are suitable for DJs to play and mix. Background In 2008, Play Records (Zimmerman's label at that time) parted ways with deadmau5 and the company gained ownership of the catalogue of tracks deadmau5 produced during his time with them as part of the agreement. ''At Play'' was Play's first release after Zimmerman's departure from the label. In 2009, Play Records reissued ''At Play''. Joel Thomas Zimmerman (born January 5, 1981), known professionally as Deadmau5 (stylized as deadmau5; pronounced "dead-mouse"), is a Canadian electronic music producer and DJ. He mainly produces progressive house music, though he also produces and DJs other genres of electronic music, including techno under the alias Testpilot. Zimmerman has received six Grammy Award nominations for his work. He has worked with other DJs and producers, such as Kaskade, Wolfgang Gartner, Rob Swire, and Chris Lake. He has also collaborated with Steve Duda under the group name BSOD (Better Sounding On Drugs), and was part of the group named WTF? with Duda, Tommy Lee and DJ Aero. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Top Pop Catalog Albums is a 50-position weekly albums chart produced by ''Billboard'' Magazine which ranks the best-selling catalog albums in the United States, regardless of genre. ''Billboard'' defines a catalog title as one that is more than 18 months old and that has fallen below position 100 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Albums meeting these criteria are removed from the ''Billboard'' ''Current Albums'' ranking and begin a new chart run on the ''Top Pop Catalog Albums'' chart. "Faxing Berlin" is an instrumental by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. It was released as the lead single from his third studio album ''Random Album Title''. On July 23, 2007, "Faxing Berlin" became the first release on Deadmau5's label Mau5trap. The track was originally known as "Da Outer Limits", but was renamed to "Faxing Berlin" later on, during a phone call with Max Graham, when Graham left "to fax omethingover to Berlin". Composition "Faxing Berlin" is a progressive house song with a tempo of 128 beats per minute and is written in the key of D minor.
