Assumption Of Mary
The Assumption of Mary is one of the four Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church. Pope Pius XII defined it in 1950 in his apostolic constitution ''Munificentissimus Deus'' as follows: We proclaim and define it to be a dogma revealed by God that the immaculate Mother of God, Mary ever virgin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into the glory of heaven. The declaration was built upon the 1854 dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, which declared that Mary was conceived free from original sin, and both have their foundation in the concept of Mary as the Mother of God. It leaves open the question of whether Mary died or whether she was raised to eternal life without bodily death. The equivalent belief (but not held as dogma) in the Eastern Orthodox Church is the Dormition of the Mother of God or the "Falling Asleep of the Mother of God". Asuncion, Davao Del Norte
Asuncion, officially the Municipality of Asuncion ( ceb, Lungsod sa Asuncion; tl, Bayan ng Asuncion), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 61,893 people. History The municipality of New Leyte was established on August 1, 1948 by combining the municipal districts of Saug and Camansa, pursuant to Executive Order No. 156 as signed by President Elpidio Quirino. The same year in September 13, New Leyte was renamed to Saug pursuant to Executive Order No. 173 signed once again by President Quirino, after its largest settlement which used to be one of the two municipal districts before the merger. Finally, Saug was once more renamed as Asuncion, named after Our Lady of the Assumption, pursuant to Republic Act No. 1675 approved on June 20, 1957. ''Nuestra'' is the debut studio album of the Venezuelan rock band La Vida Bohème, released in August 2010. Recorded and produced by Rudy Pagliuca, it is a free download on the website of the record label All of the Above. The album was nominated for "Best Latin Pop, Rock or Urban Album" in the 54th Grammy Awards. The two singles from this album are "Radio Capital" and "Danz!". Background and Recording The album was recorded in Caracas in 2009, on fairly independent terms. Guitarist Daniel De Sousa happened to be studying engineering at the time, and took on designing a distortion pedal that was used on the album. The synths were designed/programmed by fellow Venezuelan artist Arca, then known as Nuuro. First Synod Of Asunción
The First Synod of Asunción was a synod, council of the Roman Catholic Church of the Diocese of Paraguay, in 1603. It was organized by the third bishop of the diocese, Friar Martín Ignacio de Loyola, in Asunción, gathering clergy and lay person, lay people from the eight cities of the Giant Province of the Indias. The Synod adopted the catechism approved by the Third Council of Lima in 1583 and translated into the Guaraní language by Franciscan friar Luis de Bolaños, and made its use compulsory for the evangelism, evangelization of the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Asunción Paraguay Temple
The Asunción Paraguay Temple is the 112th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Although there were already eleven other dedicated temples in South America, the Asunción Temple was the first temple to be built in Paraguay. The Asunción Temple will serve more than 68,000 members in the area. History In 1949 Paraguay was officially opened to Mormon missionaries under the mission headquartered in Uruguay. In 1977 Paraguay became its own mission area and soon after converts to the LDS Church began to increase. The average number of baptisms per year in Paraguay up to that time had been just over 200. In the year following the announcement 400 people were baptized into the church. On April 2, 2000 an announcement was made that the LDS Church was planning to build a temple in Paraguay.
