Astro On Demand
Astro On Demand (Simplified as Astro AOD) is a Cantonese-language drama TV channel service co-established by TVB and Astro. It features the latest TVB drama series and broadcasts the same time as the origin channel. The channel was officially launched on 16 July 2007. Astro On Demand plays spontaneously as Hong Kong does on premiering drama series. However, not all drama series are subject to the rules above. Programming options like subtitles are available in Chinese and Malay and in recent years English subtitles and Mandarin audio option are added. Starting in mid-2018 Astro AOD is now available with additional Chinese subtitles. NJOI
NJOI is a Malaysian free-to-view satellite television service launched on 18 February 2012 in collaboration with the government of Malaysia and Astro. It was officially announced by former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak on 20 December 2011. At launch, the service provided 18 television channels and 19 radio stations. However, existing Astro customers may purchase this service through separate account. At launch, the set-up which consist of a set-top box, Out-Door Unit (ODU) satellite dish, smartcard and remote control unit, was available at a one-time payment of RM 305 at all Astro authorised retailers, with a standard installation fee of RM 100 from an Astro-authorised installer as stated on the website. In mid-2013, the one-time payment was reduced to RM 280, and installation remains at RM 100. Astro Wah Lai Toi () is a Cantonese Video on demand (Formerly from Cantonese TV Channel) owned and operated by Astro in partnership with Hong Kong's TVB. The channel offers mainly TVB programming, alongside some local content. To satisfy a greater audience, selected programmes are available in dual audio, in which viewers can select either to watch the programme in Cantonese or Mandarin (or original language of the programme). Astro Shuang Xing () is a 24-hour Mandarin youth entertainment TV channel owned and run by pay TV provider, Astro. The channel provides variety entertainment that target for younger generation.
