Astra 31.5°E
Astra 31.5°E is the name for the group of Astra communications satellites co-located at the 31.5° east position in the Clarke Belt owned and operated by SES based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg. 31.5° east is SES' newest orbital location serving Europe (the others being at 19.2° east, 28.2° east, 23.5° east, and 5° east). The first satellites to commercially exploit this position were the Astra 5A and Astra 1D craft, which provided for services downlinking in the 10.70 GHz-12.50 GHz range of the Ku band across Europe, Western Russia and the Middle East. Astra (satellite)
Astra is the brand name for a number of geostationary satellite, geostationary communication satellites, both individually and as a group, which are owned and operated by SES S.A., a global satellite operator based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, Betzdorf, in eastern Luxembourg. The name is also used to describe the pan-European broadcasting system provided by these satellites, the channel (broadcasting), channels carried on them, and even the reception equipment. At the time of the launch of the first Astra satellite, Astra 1A in 1988, the satellite's operator was known as Société Européenne des Satellites. BTV (Bulgaria)
bTV is the first private nationwide television channel in Bulgaria. It is operated by bTV Media Group, as part of Central European Media Enterprises, and is reportedly the Bulgarian television channel with the largest viewing audience. It was previously owned by Balkan News Corporation, part of News Corporation. On February 18, 2010, News Corp announced that it had agreed to sell 94% of bTV (along with bTV Comedy and bTV Cinema) to Central European Media Enterprises, after many months of negotiations. The US$400M deal was completed in the second quarter of 2010. bTV has a 37% market share in Bulgaria. bTV is broadcast terrestrially in Bulgaria and by satellite internationally. MTV Romania
MTV România was a Romanian pay television channel that was launched on 15 June 2002 as the 10th regional channel of MTV in Europe (and second eastern European after MTV Poland) with a big concert ceremony performed by Enrique Iglesias on Lia Manoliu Stadium. It took the broadcast license previously used by MCM România, which was a franchise of the French music channel MCM. On March 1, 2019, at midnight, MTV Romania was closed down and replaced by MTV Europe with Romanian subtitles and local advertising. The final song to be played on the channel was '' I Did It, Mama!'' by Alexandra Stan. Programming 2002-2007 Several shows are made up locally, featuring Romanian music and artists. PRO TV (, often stylized as PRO•TV as of 2017) is a Romanian free-to-air television network, launched on 1 December 1995 as the fourth private TV channel in the country (after TV SOTI, Antena 1, and the now-defunct Tele7ABC).
