Aston Martin has produced a number of V12 gasoline engines for its flagship models. The first version appeared in 1999, when a 5.9-liter, 60° V12 debuted in the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. Overview The original Aston Martin “AML V12” project began in 1994, at Ford’s Advanced Powertrain division. As Aston Martin was owned by Ford at the time, this gave Aston Martin access to Ford’s considerable engineering and technology resources. The design goal was to build a unique V12 for Aston Martin, while leveraging many of Ford’s best resources. The Aston Martin Vantage is a two-seater sports car manufactured by British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin as a successor to the previous outgoing model which had been in production for 12 years. Models Vantage V8 Coupe (2018-) It was unveiled on 21 November 2017. Deliveries of the new Vantage began in June 2018. Vantage AMR (2019-) The Vantage AMR is a track-focused variant of the Vantage. The Aston Martin DBR9 is a racing car built by Aston Martin Racing, debuting in 2005 and racing actively in international sportscar racing until the end of GT1 category in 2011. The name DBR9 is derived from the original 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning DBR1 car, named for then-owner David Brown, which not only won the 24 Hour race in 1959 but also the World Sportscar title. The car is most famous for taking two LMGT1 class wins at Le Mans 24 Hours (2007 and 2008) by the Aston Martin Racing factory team. Aston Martin One-77
The Aston Martin One-77 is a two-door, two-seater flagship sports car built by the British car manufacturer Aston Martin. The car was first shown at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, although it remained mostly covered by a "Savile Row tailored skirt" throughout the show. It was revealed in full at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, and deliveries began in 2011. The production of the One-77 was limited to 77 cars, although several development cars were made for engineering, testing, and marketing. One of the development cars, VIN #10711 was sent back to Aston Martin for complete refurbishment, and now is owned under NHTSA Show and Display registration in the United States, making the actual total of cars in existence to be 78. The Aston Martin Vulcan is a two-door, two-seat, high-performance lightweight track-only car launched in 2015 by British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The Vulcan was designed by Aston Martin's creative officer Marek Reichman, taking inspiration from the then Aston Martin current models, such as the Vantage, the DB9 and the One-77. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a British sports car/endurance racer made by Aston Martin in collaboration with Zagato to celebrate a fifty-year partnership since the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. Introduced in Lake Como, Italy at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on 21 May 2011, the Zagato was awarded with the competition's "Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes" which has also been won by the One-77 in 2009. Zagato introduced the "Corsa" (race) version of the car in 2011 and the "Stradale" (road) version in 2012. The Aston Martin Rapide is a 4-door, 4-seater, high-performance sports saloon, which the British luxury marque Aston Martin introduced in early 2010. It was first presented as a concept car at the North American International Auto Show in 2006 and the production version was shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Rapide name is a reference to the Lagonda Rapide, a four-door, four-seater saloon produced by Lagonda, now a part of Aston Martin. The Aston Martin DBS is a high-performance grand tourer based on the DB9 and manufactured by the British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin. Aston Martin Virage
The Aston Martin Virage is an automobile produced by British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin as a replacement for its V8 models. Introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988, it was joined by the high-performance Vantage in 1993, and then the name of the base model was changed to V8 Coupe in 1996. The V8-powered model was intended as the company's flagship model, with the 6-cylinder DB7, introduced in 1994, positioned below it as an entry-level model. Although the DB7 became available with a V12 engine and claimed a performance advantage, the Virage remained the exclusive, expensive and hand-built flagship of the Aston Martin range. The Aston Martin Vantage is a series of hand-built sports car, sports cars from the British automotive manufacturer Aston Martin. Aston Martin has previously used the "Vantage" name on high-performance variants of their existing Grand tourer, GT models, notably on the Virage-based car of the 1990s. The modern car, in contrast, is the leanest and most agile car in Aston's lineup. As such, it is intended as a more focused model to reach out to potential buyers of cars such as the Porsche 997, Porsche 911 as well as the exotic sports and GT cars with which Aston Martins traditionally compete.
