Asterix In Britain (film)
''Asterix in Britain'' (french: Astérix chez les Bretons) is a French animated film, written by Pierre Tchernia, produced by Dargaud Films and Les Productions René Goscinny, and released in December 1986. The film is the fifth adaptation of a story from the ''Asterix'' comic series, and is based upon the plot from the graphic novel of the same name by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. The film's plot focuses on Asterix and Obelix transporting a barrel of Magic Potion to a rebel village of Britons, as they attempt to hold out against the Romans. The original French release starred Roger Carel and Pierre Tornade in the lead roles, while the English release starred Jack Beaber and Billy Kearns. Plot Julius Caesar successfully conquers all of Britain, unaware his men know that one rebel village still holds. Pino Van Lamsweerde
Pino van Lamsweerde (born 9 September 1940, died 10 April 2020) was an Italian–Canadian director and animator. Personal life Born in Turin on September 18, 1940 from Alessandro van Lamsweerde and Giuliana Tracanella. He moves with his family at a very young age to Milan where later in life he attends the Brera Academy, where he specializes in school of nude. In 1966 he embarks to go to Canada, spending a brief period in New York City, where he will remain until 1997 living between Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Montreal. In 1997 he moved to Paris where he remained until his death. Pino van Lamsweerde grew up and studied in Milan, where he made his first experiences as an animator; in 1966 he moved to Canada, pursuing his studies and working for the National Film Board of Canada. Mike Marshall (actor)
Michael Marshall (September 13, 1944 – June 2, 2005) was a French American actor. Early life and career Marshall was born in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a hospital in Hollywood on September 13, 1944. When his parents divorced, his father made sure that he received an American education. He began studying law, but dreamed of becoming an actor. He later joined his mother in Paris. Marshall began to take drama classes from Raymond Griard and later directed his first film, ''Potato'', in France under the direction of Robert Thomas, adapted from the play's eponymous Marcel Achard. He had already appeared in two films from overseas, the first was directed by his father, and the second by Vincente Minnelli. Paul Antoine Alphonse Bisciglia (30 July 1928 – 18 April 2010) was a French film actor. Career Throughout his acting career, Bisciglia appeared in more than one hundred feature films. Gordon Heath (September 20, 1918 – August 27, 1991) was an American actor and musician who narrated the animated feature film ''Animal Farm'' (1954) and appeared in the title role of ''The Emperor Jones'' (1953) and ''Othello'' (1955), both live BBC telecasts, respectively directed by Alvin Rakoff and Tony Richardson.
