Astafjord Church
Astafjord Church ( no, Astafjord kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tjeldsund Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grov. It is the church for the Astafjord parish which is part of the Trondenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, concrete church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1978 using plans drawn up by the architect Harald Hille. The church seats about 300 people. Tjeldsund Municipality
Tjeldsund ( sme, Dielddanuorri) is a municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The southwestern part of the municipality is part of the traditional district of Ofoten and the rest of the municipality is part of Central Hålogaland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Evenskjer. Other important villages include Fjelldal, Myklebostad, Grovfjord, Renså, Sandstrand, Tovik, and Ramsund. Grov or Grovfjord is a village in Tjeldsund Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located east of the village of Tovik along the Grovfjorden at a very narrow point in the fjord. It is about southeast of the town of Harstad and about west of the town of Narvik. The Moelva and Gårdselva rivers flow through the village into the fjord. The village has a population (2017) of 400 which gives the village a population density of .
