Assumption Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic high school in Burlington, Ontario. Background The school population for the 2015-2016 school year was approximately 870. Assumption receives most new students from local separate elementary schools, including Ascension, St. Raphael, St. Paul, St. Patrick, St. John, and Holy Rosary. Like most Ontario secondary schools, Assumption offers academic programs for university-bound students and applied programs for college-bound students; it also offers co-op apprenticeship and workplace programs. In addition to the standard course types, Assumption offers Advanced Placement level courses in English, French, Geography and History, Math, and Science. Burlington is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the northwestern end of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada. The Metropolitan Riveters (originally the New York Riveters) are a professional women's ice hockey team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with home games at the American Dream Meadowlands ice rink. They were one of the four charter franchises of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), now known as the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Its team name and logo are based upon Rosie the Riveter, the subject of the World War II-era motivational poster "We Can Do It!". Ashley Johnston (born 17 July 1992) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defender and current assistant coach of the Premier Hockey Federation's Metropolitan Riveters. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Ryan Bomben (born May 16, 1987) is a professional Canadian football offensive guard who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a four-time East Division All-Star and has also played for the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Bomben played CIS football for the Guelph Gryphons.
