Association Of Learning Providers
The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) is the leading trade association for vocational learning and employment providers in Britain. The majority of its 700 members are independent private, not-for-profit and voluntary sector training and employment services organisations, universities and colleges and end-point assessment organisations working in the apprenticeship field.Association of Employment and Learning ProvidersOur Members accessed 27 March 2021 Membership is open to any provider committed to quality provision and it includes 38 FE colleges involved in work based learning. AELP members train 75% of England's 850,000 apprentices currently on programme. Over 70% of the Work Programme prime contractors are AELP members with many other members delivering the programme as sub-contractors. The voluntary sector, independent sector, or civic sector is the realm of social activity undertaken by organizations that are non-governmental nonprofit organizations. Summative assessment, summative evaluation, or assessment of learning is the assessment of participants in an educational program. Summative assessments are designed to both assess the effectiveness of the program and the learning of the participants. Work Programme
The Work Programme (WP) was a UK government welfare-to-work programme introduced in Great Britain in June 2011. It was the flagship welfare-to-work scheme of the 2010–2015 UK coalition government. Under the Work Programme the task of getting the long-term unemployed into work was outsourced to a range of public sector, private sector and third sector organisations. The scheme replaced a range of schemes which existed under previous New Labour governments including Employment Zones, New Deal, Flexible New Deal and the now abolished Future Jobs Fund scheme which aimed to tackle youth unemployment.
