The Pentagon is the headquarters building of the United States Department of Defense. It was constructed on an accelerated schedule during World War II. Charles Arthur Bowsher (May 30, 1931September 30, 2022) was an American businessman and politician. He served as the 6th Comptroller General of the United States from 1981 to 1996.
