Assam Cricket Association Stadium, also known as ACA Stadium or Barsapara Cricket Stadium, is a cricket stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati, Assam, India. The entire stadium project's cost over Rs 2300 crore. It was inaugurated by Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal on 10 October 2017. The Cricket Stadium is India's 49th international cricket venue. First International cricket match played here was a T20I between India and Australia in 2017, which was won by Australia. Assam Cricket Association (ACA) is the governing body of the Cricket activities in the Assam state of India and the Assam cricket team. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The headquarters of ACA is at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati. History Since Assam played its first home match in 1948, it has also played first-class home matches in chronological order Shillong, Jorhat, Nowgong, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Karimganj, Hailakandi, Mangaldoi and Tinsukia. Until the 2002–03 season, when the zonal system was abandoned, Assam formed part of Eastern Zone. The Women's Senior One Day Trophy, previously known as the Senior Women's One Day League, is a women's List A cricket tournament held in India. It began in the 2006–07 season, with 24 teams representing state cricket associations, whilst the most recent season, 2022–23, had 37 teams competing. Railways have won the tournament 14 times, including the first and most recent season, whilst Delhi and Bengal have won the tournament once apiece. History The tournament, as the Senior Women's One Day League, began in the 2006–07 season, the first competition involving state teams in India since the Senior National Women's Cricket Championship, a combined List A and first-class competition that ended in 2002–03. The Women's Senior T20 Trophy, previously known as the Senior Women's T20 League, is a women's Twenty20 cricket competition held in India. It began in the 2008–09 season, with 28 teams representing state cricket associations, whilst the most recent season, 2022–23, had 37 teams competing. Railways are the most successful team in the history of the competition, winning 11 titles, whilst Delhi and Punjab have won the competition once apiece. History The tournament began in the 2008–09 season, as the Senior Women's T20 Trophy, running along the Inter State Women's Competition, which ended after that season, and the Senior Women's One Day League. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
