Assad Zaman
Assad Zaman is a British actor. He is known for his stage work and his roles in the BBC thriller ''Apple Tree Yard'' (2017), the period drama '' Hotel Portofino'' (2022–) and the AMC series ''Interview with the Vampire'' (2022–). Early life Zaman grew up in the west end of Newcastle upon Tyne. His parents had arrived in England from Bangladesh in the 1980s. Zaman trained at the Manchester School of Theatre, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. Career Zaman made his London stage debut in the 2014 National Theatre production of ''Behind the Beautiful Forevers''. This was followed by his onscreen debut in an episode Russell T Davies' ''Cucumber'' on Channel 4. He went on tour with Ayub Khan Din's play ''East Is East (play), East is East'' that same year. The Manchester School of Theatre (originally the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre) is a tertiary school of theatre, drama and performance situated in the city of Manchester, founded in 1970. It is a part of Manchester Metropolitan University, and, in its work as a conservatoire, a member of the Federation of Drama Schools. The Kiln Theatre (formerly the Tricycle Theatre) is a theatre located in Kilburn, London, Kilburn, in the London Borough of Brent, England. National Theatre Live
National Theatre Live is an initiative operated by the Royal National Theatre in London, which broadcasts live via satellite, performances of their productions (and from other theatres) to cinemas and arts centres around the world. About I grew up in Manchester in the 60s. If I had been able to see Olivier's National Theatre at my local cinema, I would have gone all of the time. :— Nicholas Hytner, director of the Royal National Theatre. The programme began its pilot season in June 2009 with a production of ''Phèdre'', starring Helen Mirren, which screened live in 70 cinemas across the UK.
