Asok Montri Road, or Soi Sukhumvit 21 (also Asoke Montri Road, th, ถนนอโศกมนตรี, , ), is a major road in Bangkok Bangkok, officially known in Thai language, Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and colloquially as Krung Thep, is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It runs north from Sukhuvmit Road and forms part of the Ratchadaphisek inner ring road. It contains many offices buildings and shops. Although the road has a capacity of 35,000, more than 100,000 vehicles use the road daily, causing major congestion. The junction of Sukhuvmit Road and Asok Montri Road is a major road junction known as Asok Intersection, and is also the location of Asok BTS Station and Sukhumvit MRT Station. Srinakharinwirot University (abbr: SWU; th, มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ; abbr: มศว) is a public university in Bangkok, Thailand. Founded in 1949, the university was the first upper-education institution to concentrate solely on teacher training. The name ''"Srinakharinwirot" ''was given by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to honour his Mother Princess Srinagarindra (transliterated as ). Srinakharinwirot University has two campuses; Prasarnmit Campus in Bangkok's Watthana district and Ongkharak Campus in Nakhon Nayok province's Ongkharak district. Sukhumvit Road ( th, ถนนสุขุมวิท, , ), or Highway 3 ( th, ทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 3), is a major road in Thailand, and a major surface road of Bangkok and other cities. It follows a coastal route from Bangkok to Khlong Yai District, Trat border to Koh Kong, Cambodia. Sukhumvit Road is named after the fifth chief of the Department of Highways, Phra Bisal Sukhumvit. Ratchadaphisek Road ( th, ถนนรัชดาภิเษก, ) is a major road in Bangkok, Thailand. Conceived in 1971 and opened in 1976, it connects earlier portions including Asok Montri, Wong Sawang and Charan Sanitwong Roads to form the city's inner ring road system. The road's name comes from the celebration 25th year of a monarch's reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Ratchadaphisek Road crosses major traffic arteries such as Sukhumvit Road and Sirat Expressway.
