Asmar Bilal
Asmar Bilal (born April 12, 1997) is an American football linebacker who is a free agent. Early years Bilal played high school football at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. During his senior year, he earned 6A All-State honors, helped his team to a state championship, 155 tackles, 6 for loss, five sacks, and an interception. Bilal was also a participant in the U.S. Army All-American Game and was rated by ESPN as the 23rd best outside linebacker in the country. College career Bilal played college football at Notre Dame. During his senior season, he had 79 total tackles with 10 for loss. He finished his career with 45 game appearances and 174 total tackles. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. Drue Tranquill
Drue Tranquill (born August 15, 1995) is an American football linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame. Early years Tranquill attended Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a senior in 2013, Tranquill made 75 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss, to go with four sacks and an interception as a linebacker. He added 1,420 yards and 28 touchdowns on 114 carries on the ground as a running back, along with 16 receptions for 348 yards and five touchdowns. Tranquill was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, and received offers from several major programs, mostly in the Big Ten Conference.
