Asif Khan (born 15 February 1990) is a Pakistani cricketer who currently represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. Between 2007 and 2014, Asif played domestic cricket in Pakistan, including 32 first-class matches for Lahore. In 2017, Asif moved to the UAE with the aim to be selected for the national cricket team once he became eligible based on his residency in the country. In March 2022, he was named in the UAE's One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2022 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series tournament, his maiden call-up to the national side. He made his ODI debut on 5 March 2022, for the UAE against Oman. On 16 March 2023, in a match against Nepal, Khan scored his first century in ODIs. Mohammad Asif Hossain Khan ( bn, আসিফ হোসেন খান) is a Bangladeshi shooter. He won the gold medal at 2002 Commonwealth Games in 10 m Air Rifle and repeated his success in the 2004 SAF games by winning gold in the same event. On October 2, 2006 he was brutally beaten by the local police of Bangladesh, injuring both of his arms. His son, Mashrur, currently resides in Costa Rica with wife Natalie. Early career Khan started his shooting career at Pabna Shooting Club. Although he preferred athletics to shooting, he snatched inter-club shooting championship in 1999 and 2000. Still an athletics fanatic, Khan entered the athletics training programme of Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Pratisthan (BKSP), the national sports institute of Bangladesh. Asif Muhammad Khan
Asif Muhammad Khan (born 8 February 1961) is an Indian politician and was member of the Fourth and Fifth Legislative Assemblies of Delhi, India. He represented the Okhla constituency and is a member of the Indian National Congress. Career Khan contested and won his first election in 1997 from the Okhla ward of Municipal Corporation of Delhi as an independent candidate. He won the election into the Municipal Council for a second term and remained a councillor till 2007. Khan then contested the 2008 Delhi Legislative Assembly Election from a Rashtriya Janta Dal ticket from Okhla but lost to Parvez Hashmi by only 541 votes. After Hashmi was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, Khan contested the 2009 by-election and became a member of the assembly. He later switched to the Indian National Congress in 2013.
