Asier Benito
Asier Benito Sasiain (born 11 February 1995) is a Spanish professional Association football, footballer as a Forward (association football), forward for Real Unión. Career Benito was born in Amurrio, Álava, Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country. He finished his formation with CD Aurrerá de Vitoria, and made his senior debuts in the 2012–13 Tercera División, 2012–13 campaign, in Tercera División. In 2013, Benito moved to Deportivo Alavés, being assigned to Deportivo Alavés B, the reserves also in the fourth tier. On 17 June 2014, he renewed his link for a further year. On 13 March 2016, Benito made his professional debut, coming on as a late Substitute (association football), substitute for Gaizka Toquero in a 1–3 away loss against CA Osasuna in the Segunda División championship. Amurrio is a town and municipality located in the northwest part of the province of Álava, in the Basque Country, northern Spain. It has over 10,000 inhabitants. It is between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao, respectively to 41 km and 31 km. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. 2019–20 Segunda División
The 2019–20 Segunda División season, also known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, was the 89th since its establishment. On 12 March 2020 after most of teams had played 31 games, the league was suspended for at least two weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. The league was suspended indefinitely on 23 March. The season recommenced on 10 June and was initially planned to be completed on 20 July. On 20 July 2020, the final day of the regular season, Deportivo La Coruña's match against Fuenlabrada was suspended indefinitely due to several Fuenlabrada players testing positive for COVID-19, therefore, delaying the official end of the season.
