The 1987 Asian Club Championship was the 7th edition of the annual Asian club football competition hosted by Asian Football Confederation. Several Asian clubs started the qualifying round in Fall of 1987. Yomiuri FC (Japan) became the second Japanese club to win the Asian Championship. is a Japanese professional football club based in Inagi, Tokyo. The club plays in the J2 League, the second tier of football in the country. The Bayi or August First Football Team () or its full name the People's Liberation Army Bayi Football Club () was a football team under the sport branch of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) that played in China's football league system between 1951 and 2003. Kota Ranger Football Club (; abbrev: KRFC), formerly Perkota, is a Bruneian football club, playing in the Brunei Super League. Tanjong Pagar United Football Club is a professional football club that competes in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. The club took part in S.League from 1996 to 2004, and from 2011 to 2014. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian or KTB Palembang was an Indonesian semi-professional association football club from Palembang, South Sumatra. The club was owned by the Palembang branch of Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, the local distributor of Mitsubishi Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles.
