The is a private university located in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan that offers courses in Business Administration, Economics, Law, International Relations and Urban Innovation. The university was founded in 1941 by Kozo Ota as on the site of the present Asia University campus. Ota believed that education should be based on a spiritual closeness between teachers and students. It was a unique school at the time, as it accommodated all students in dormitories divided by course of study; Continental Asia, Southern Pacific Islands and Japan ("Homeland"). It shares its name with another university located in Taiwan. The University produced an animated short, in 2015, to promote its Department of Urban Innovation. Risa Yoshiki is a Japanese gravure idol and singer. She has released two singles, seven DVDs, and appears regularly on TV and radio. Life and career Yoshiki was born in Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo. She originally wanted to be a manga artist when growing up. In her first year of high school, she was scouted in Harajuku by the Fitoneフィットワン agency. She decided to become an enka singer and trained for two years. The Nanjing Massacre (, ja, 南京大虐殺, Nankin Daigyakusatsu) or the Rape of Nanjing (formerly romanized as ''Nanking'') was the mass murder of Chinese civilians in Nanjing, the capital of the Republic of China, immediately after the Battle of Nanking in the Second Sino-Japanese War, by the Imperial Japanese Army. Beginning on December 13, 1937, the massacre lasted six weeks. The perpetrators also committed other war crimes such as mass rape, looting, and arson. The massacre was one of the worst atrocities committed during World War II. The Japanese Army had pushed quickly through China after capturing Shanghai in November 1937. By early December, it was on the outskirts of Nanjing. The speed of the army's advance was likely due to commanders allowing looting and rape along the way.
