Asia Cup 2014
The 2014 Asia Cup (also known as Arise Asia Cup) was the twelfth edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament. The tournament was held in Bangladesh from 25 February to 8 March 2014. Pakistan were the defending champions, having won the previous tournament. The tournament included the four Asian test-playing nations, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka; and ICC Asian Associate member Afghanistan. This was the first 50-over tournament in which Afghanistan took part. Ten league matches were played along with the final. The title sponsors of the tournament were Arise India and it was powered by Cycle Agarbathis. Sri Lanka Beat Pakistan in the final to become Asia Cup champions for the fifth time. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Fatullah ( bn, ফতুল্লা) (also known as Fatulla) is a town and a Union in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila in Narayanganj District. It is located on the southern outskirts of Dhaka, in central Bangladesh. Jeff Crowe
Jeffrey John Crowe (born 14 September 1958) is a former New Zealand cricketer. He played Test and One Day International cricket for New Zealand from 1983 to 1990, and first-class cricket for South Australia and then Auckland. He has been an ICC match referee since 2004. Ahsan Raza
Ahsan Raza (born 29 May 1974 in Lahore, Pakistan) is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former cricketer. In November 2020, in the second Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, he stood in his 50th T20I match as an on-field umpire, becoming the first umpire to reach the milestone in T20I cricket. Raja Raveendra Wimalasiri (born 19 August 1969) is a Sri Lankan cricketer and umpire. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) on 23 July 2013, between Sri Lanka and South Africa. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) on 2 August 2013, also between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Tanvir Ahmed ( bal, تنويراحمد; born 20 December 1978) is a former Pakistani Test cricketer born in Kuwait. Ahmed is mainly a fast-bowler. Masudur Rahman
Masudur Rahman (born 13 April 1975) is a Bangladeshi international cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off-break bowler, he made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis in 2000/01 and played for Barisal Division in 2001/02 and Dhaka Division from 2003/04 to 2004/05. Anisur Rahman (cricketer)
Anisur Rahman ( bn, আনিসুর রহমান; born 1 March 1971, in Dacca) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in two ODIs from 1995 to 1998. He also stood as an umpire in nine ODI games between 2014 and 2018, and in 13 Twenty20 Internationals between 2012 and 2018. Johan Cloete
Johan Cloete (born 21 July 1971) is a South African cricket umpire. He was a member of ICC International Panel of Umpires before being removed from the Panel in July 2016. He has stood in 60 One Day Internationals and 23 Twenty20 Internationals till date. Billy Bowden
Brent Fraser "Billy" Bowden (born 11 April 1963) is a cricket umpire from New Zealand. He was a player until he began to suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. He is well known for his dramatic signaling style which includes the famous "crooked finger of doom" out signal. Bruce Oxenford
Bruce Nicholas James Oxenford (born 5 March 1960) is a former Australian cricket umpire and a former cricketer. He has been an ICC international umpire since 2008, when he first umpired an ODI match. He went on to stand in his first Test match in 2010. On 26 September 2012, he was promoted to the ICC Elite Umpire Panel, the highest umpiring body in the game of cricket, replacing his fellow Australian Simon Taufel, who retired from the panel to take up a newly created ICC supervisory and training position. Nigel James Llong (born 11 February 1969) is an English cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. Until June 2020, he was a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and officiated in international matches - Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
