Ashgabat Velodrome
The Ashgabat Sports Complex Velodrome ( Turkmen ''Welotrek Sport Toplumy'') is a velodrome constructed in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. It was built by Turkish construction company Polimeks for the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. The track is 250 meters long and 7,1 meters wide. The construction materials used fabric from Finland. The total area of the five-storey building of 61,000 m2. Rostrum accommodate up to 6000 spectators, there are VIP loggia and sector for press. Among the infrastructure facilities for athletes: massage room, sauna, restaurant for 48 people, 9 cafes at 447 locations and 13 diners rooms. The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (abbreviated as AIMAG) is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. It is organised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and consists of Indoor and martial arts events with TV broadcasting potential, some of which were not contested at the Asian Games and Asian Winter Games Programs and are not Olympic sports. 2017 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games
The 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games ( tk, Ýapyk binalarda we söweş sungaty boýunça V Aziýa oýunlary/Япык биналарда ве сөвеш сунгаты боюнча V Азия оюнлары), which is also counted as the 5th Asian Indoor Games, was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in 2017. 2021 UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The 2021 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were held from 20 to 24 October 2021 at the Velodrome Couvert Regional Jean-Stablinski in Roubaix, France. The championships were originally scheduled to be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
