Ashgabat Park ( tk, Aşgabat seýilgähi) is among the oldest public parks at the center of Ashgabat in Turkmenistan. Located between the Kuliyev, Azadi streets and Mahgymguly, Saparmurat Turkmenbashi avenues. Today covers an area of 7 hectares. Ashgabat or Asgabat ( tk, Aşgabat, ; fa, عشقآباد, translit='Ešqābād, formerly named Poltoratsk ( rus, Полтора́цк, p=pəltɐˈratsk) between 1919 and 1927), is the capital and the largest city of Turkmenistan. Magtymguly Avenue ( tk, Magtymguly şaýoly, russian: Проспект Махтумкули), transliterated from Russian as Makhtumkuli, is an avenue in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
