''Ashes'' is the debut studio album by American DJ and producer Illenium, released on February 15, 2016. The album features six singles including two bonus tracks. In an interview about the album, Illenium said, "I wanted to create something timeless. Music has this crazy way of coming into people’s lives and totally take their problems and struggles away for a moment. It lets people breathe and be in the moment while also taking them to a different reality. My hope is that this album does that and creates a bond with the listener and music forever." Nicholas Daniel Miller (born December 26, 1990), professionally known as Illenium, is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He has released four studio albums, his most recent being '' Fallen Embers'', released in July 2021. It earned Illenium his first Grammy nomination. One of Illenium's more notable albums, ''Ascend'', was released in August 2019 on Astralwerks. The album was Illenium's first to top the ''Billboard'' Dance/Electronic Albums chart and also reached his highest peak on the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 14.
