''Ascend'' (stylised as ''ASCEND'') is the third studio album by American DJ and producer Illenium, released on August 16, 2019, through Astralwerks, making it his major-label debut and his only album on the label. The album features six singles. Nicholas Daniel Miller (born December 26, 1990), professionally known as Illenium, is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He has released four studio albums, his most recent being '' Fallen Embers'', released in July 2021. It earned Illenium his first Grammy nomination. One of Illenium's more notable albums, ''Ascend'', was released in August 2019 on Astralwerks. The album was Illenium's first to top the ''Billboard'' Dance/Electronic Albums chart and also reached his highest peak on the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 14. Trevor Christensen (born 12 May 1993), known professionally as Said the Sky, is an American electronic dance music producer, DJ and musician. Early life At the age of 8, Christensen went for piano lessons which he had disliked. He quit the lessons after several years but later rejoined it while he was in middle school, along picking up other instruments to learn. He first got into electronic dance music by learning about the production at a Digital Audio Production class in high school. Christensen uses Ableton Live to produce music. Kameron Alexander is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Pasadena, California. After graduating high school, Kameron went on to pursue audio engineering full-time at the Los Angeles Recording School, during which he also apprenticed under Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer Raphael Saadiq.
