Asbjørn Halvorsen
Asbjørn Halvorsen (3 December 1898 – 16 January 1955), nicknamed Assi, was a Norwegian footballer, who played as a centre-half for Sarpsborg FK and Hamburger SV. He was capped 19 times playing for Norway, and was a part of the Norwegian team who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was later Secretary general of the Norwegian Football Association, and acted as head coach of the Norwegian national team. He is regarded as the architect behind the Norwegian "Bronze Team" that finished third in the 1936 Olympics. Personal life Halvorsen was born in Sarpsborg, the son of baker Christian Halvorsen and Jakobine Dorthea Thronsen. Ásbjǫrn skerjablesi (died 874), also known as Ásbjǫrn jarl skerjablesi, is a ruler of the Kingdom of the Isles, Hebrides attested by ''Landnámabók'' and ''Droplaugarsona saga''. His epithet, ''skerjablesi'', translates to "skerry blaze". One possibility is that this name means "the man with a blaze from the Skerries", although the particular skerry which this might refer to is unknown. Another possibility is that, whilst the word element ''blesi'' ("blaze") refers to Ásbjǫrn's nickname, the element ''sker'' ("skerry") refers to his hangout. According to ''Landnámabók'', Ásbjǫrn was slain in 874 by Hólmfastr Véþormsson and Grímr (a nephew of Hólmfastr's father). Asbjørn Tenden
Asbjørn Tenden (born 9 April 1975) is a Norwegian footballer. From 1995 to 1996 he played 10 games in the Norwegian Premier League for SK Brann. In that period he scored one goal in the game against Ham-Kam at Brann Stadion on 27 August 1995 when he came on a substitute for Frank Strandli in the 89th minute. In the 1996 season he only played one league game as a substitute and left the club after the season. Before he left the club after the season he also got five minutes as a substitute in a game in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup against PSV Eindhoven. In IK Start he played 33 games and scored seven goals in the Norwegian Premier League. Later he has played for local clubs such as Førde and later Loen IL on the lower levels of the Norwegian league system. Asbjørn Sunde
Asbjørn Edvin Sunde (12 December 1909 – 23 April 1985) was a Norwegian politician for the Communist Party of Norway, communist partisan during the Spanish Civil War, saboteur against the Nazi occupation of Norway during the Second World War, and a convicted Soviet spy. During the Second World War, from 1941 to 1944, Sunde's group, the ''Osvald Group'', carried out approximately 39 acts of sabotage and assassination against the German occupation forces and Norwegian collaborators. In 1954 he was convicted by Eidsivating Court of Appeal of treason and espionage in favour of the Soviet Union, and sentenced to eight years in prison. He was released from prison in 1959 after serving two thirds of his sentence. He was expelled from the Communist Party of Norway in 1970. Asbjørn Sennels (born 17 January 1979) is a former Danish professional football (soccer) player, who played as a left back. He has played two games for the Denmark national football team. Biography Born in Brabrand, Sennels played for local lower-league clubs Brabrand IF and IK Skovbakken. He got his breakthrough with Superliga club Viborg FF in the 1999-00 Superliga season, and was soon called up for the Danish under-21 national team. He played 108 league games for Viborg, and was called up for the Danish national team in August 2003. Asbjørn Ruud (6 October 1919 – 26 March 1989) was a Norwegian ski jumper. Together with his brothers Birger and Sigmund he dominated international ski jumping in the 1930s.
