Asbjørn Sennels
Asbjørn Sennels (born 17 January 1979) is a former Danish professional football (soccer) player, who played as a left back. He has played two games for the Denmark national football team. Biography Born in Brabrand, Sennels played for local lower-league clubs Brabrand IF and IK Skovbakken. He got his breakthrough with Superliga club Viborg FF in the 1999-00 Superliga season, and was soon called up for the Danish under-21 national team. He played 108 league games for Viborg, and was called up for the Danish national team in August 2003. In February 2004, during the 2003–04 winter transfer window, he was bought by league rivals Brøndby IF. Brøndby manager Michael Laudrup bought Sennels to replace Aurelijus Skarbalius on the left back position. Sennels made his Brøndby debut in the 2004 UEFA Cup matches with FC Barcelona. Brabrand
Brabrand () is a postal district of Aarhus Municipality, Denmark. South of Brabrand, in the Aarhus river-valley, is the largest recreational area of Aarhus Municipality, comprising the Brabrand Lake and the meadow-lake of Årslev, with surrounding natural sites. The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The latest edition, 2017-18 Danish Cup, was won by Superliga-side Brøndby, beating Superliga-side Silkeborg 3–1 on 10 May 2018 at Parken Stadium, thereby winning their first domestic trophy since 2008. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. Denmark Series
The Denmark Series ( da, Danmarksserien) is the fifth tier in the Danish football league system. Teams are divided into four groups of ten. The top team in each group is promoted to the Danish 3rd Division. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to the regional Copenhagen Series, Zealand Series, Lolland-Falster Series, Funen Series, or Jutland Series as is appropriate for each club geographically. Clubs in the Denmark Series are participants in the Danish Cup tournament. Tom Køhlert
Tom Køhlert (; born 30 April 1947) is a Danish football manager and former player who managed Brøndby IF from 1979 to 1985 and several times later as a caretaker. He led the club to its first ever Danish championship in 1985. He has also functioned as a caretaker for the club's first team on two occasions. He currently coaches lower-tier club Gilleleje FK. Playing career A Brøndby IF club legend, Køhlert began his career as a player for Akademisk Boldklub (AB) before shortly moving to Glostrup IF 32 and finally to the former Brøndbyvester IF. A year later, Brøndbyvester merged with Brøndbyøster IF and became Brøndby IF, where he made his debut in 1966. Adam Eckersley (footballer)
Adam James Eckersley (born 7 September 1985) is an English former footballer who played primarily as a full-back. He is the older brother of fellow professional footballer Richard Eckersley. He started his career with Manchester United in 2004, but failed to break into the first team in his four years there and was loaned out to Royal Antwerp, Brøndby, Barnsley and Port Vale, before joining Port Vale permanently in 2008. Later that year, he transferred to Danish club AC Horsens. In 2010, he moved on to AGF Aarhus. He won the Danish 1st Division championship with both clubs, in 2009–10 and then in 2010–11.
