Asanga also known as Nung Ikot Asanga is a town located in the Nung Ikot Clan, Oruk Anam local government area of Akwa Ibom State, the southern region of Nigeria. Asanga also called Asanga Nigeria is among the Annang ethnical group of Akwa Ibom State. The town is subdivided into five villages: Ataessien, Ikot Enuah, Ikot Akpanang, Ikot Oboho and Ikot Eweh. It shares some common boundaries with Ikot Okoro, Ntak Ibesit, Obiakpa. Others include Ikot Afanga, Ikot Ntuen and Ukpom Edem Inyang. Ukanafun
Ukanafun is located in the South South of Nigeria and is a Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Ukanafun was carved out from Abak and Opobo divisions of Cross River State. The Nigerian Civil war depopulated the area and slowed economic activities of the people. The Ukanafun area is yet to recover from the shock of the civil war not to talk of ethnic politics that have made one of the great commercial nerve centres of the people of Annang extraction almost completely reduced to the background due to the absence of a good road network that once characterised the area in the time of the colonial masters. Palm produce used to be the major economic activity of the people. Ntak Ibesit now under Oruk Anam LGA used to be the centre of the palm kernel trade at its Ekpene Okpo river port which served as an excellent trade route to Opobo. The United Evangelical Church (Founded as ''Qua Iboe Church'') is a Christian denomination in Nigeria. It has existed since 1887. It has more than 1,000 congregations and 2,000,000 members. The Nazareth Baptist Church (Alternatively called "The Nazarite Church" "iBandla lamaNazaretha") is the second largest, African initiated church based in South Africa, founded in 1910. It reveres Shembe as a prophet sent by God to restore the teachings of Moses, the prophets, and Jesus. Members are Sabbath-observers and avoid pork, smoking, and premarital sex.
