Arusha District
Arusha Urban District (officially known as Arusha City Council) is one of the seven districts of the Arusha Region of Tanzania, and it contains the regional and economic capital; the city of Arusha. It is bordered to the south, west and north by Arusha Rural District and to east by Meru District. As of 1994, Arusha District was the wealthiest district in Tanzania. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Arusha Urban District was 416,442. Geography The district covers an area of , and has an average elevation of . The district has no National park, however, there are a few protected areas such as Kijenge hill forest and Naura Park. The average temperature in the district is and has an annual rainfall of . Districts Of Tanzania
As of 2021,there are 31 regions of Tanzania which are divided into 184 districts (Swahili: wilaya). In 2016, Songwe Region was created from the western part of Mbeya Region. Elerai
Elerai is an administrative ward in Arusha District, Arusha Region of Tanzania. It is one of 19 urban administrative wards in the municipality. The ward is bordered by Olasiti ward to the west, Kiranyi ward to the north, Ngarenaro ward to the east, Sombetini to the south and, a tiny portion of Unga L.T.D ward to the southeast. The ward covers an area of 3.746 km2 (1.446 sq mi) and ranks number eleven in the area in Arusha city. Arusha Airport
Arusha Airport is a domestic airport located in the city of Arusha, the capital of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. The airport is currently undergoing an expansion, which includes a new apron and terminal building. The Arusha non-directional beacon (Ident: AR) is located at the west end of the field. Tanga, Tanzania
Tanga is both the name of the most northerly port city of Tanzania on the west of the Indian Ocean, and the capital of Tanga Region. It had a population of 273,332 in 2012. Usambara Railway
The Usambara Railway (german: Usambarabahn) was the first railway to be built in German East Africa and what is today Tanzania. History German East-Africa A railway company was created in 1891 with the aim of connecting the port of Tanga at the Indian Ocean with Lake Victoria by passing south of the Usambara Mountains. A gauge was chosen. From June 1893 the line advanced inland from Tanga. Due to undercapitalization, the company had to be taken over by the state in 1899. Thereafter the line was run by the ''Ostafrikanische Eisenbahngesellschaft'' (East African Railway Cooperation), a company which had been created to build and operate the Tanganyika Central Line (Zentralbahn) from Dar es Salaam to Kigoma. Babati
Babati, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is a town in Babati Urban District of Manyara Region of Tanzania. It is the administrative capital of Babati Urban District and Babati Rural District and also the administrative capital of Manyara Region. Babati town has developed from a mere village since Babati District was established in 1985. The new status boosted the town into rapid growth. The town is located at an altitude of near the end of Tarangire National Park and the base of Lake Babati, nestling under Mount Kwaraha. History The story is told that the town's name resulted from misunderstanding a Gorowa boy by a German roadwork supervisor. Moshi, Tanzania
Moshi is a municipality and the capital of Kilimanjaro Region, Kilimanjaro region in the north eastern Tanzania. As of 2017, the municipality has an estimated population of 201,150 and a population density of 3,409 persons per km2 .
