Aruna Raaga
''Aruna Raaga'' ( kn, ಅರುಣರಾಗ) is a 1986 Indian Kannada-language action drama film, starring Anant Nag and Geetha. It was directed by K. V. Jayaram and is based on the novel of the same name, written by Rekha Kakhandaki. It was produced by Jayadurga Films. Plot Janaki and Sumesh are married, however Sumesh is emotionally abusive. Sumesh (a doctor) has to go to America for work, and falsely promises to Janaki that she would join him in a few months. Time goes by and Janaki falls into depression, staying with her kind in-laws. Anant Nag
Dr Anant Nagarkatte (born 4 September 1948) is an Indian actor whose predominant contribution has been in Kannada cinema. He has acted in over 300 films which include over 200 Kannada films as well as Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam and English films. He has featured in theatre plays, parallel cinema and television shows. Nag made his feature film debut through ''Sankalpa'' (1973) directed by Prof. P.V Nanjaraj Urs. Sankalpa went on to win seven state awards in Karnataka. His foray into parallel cinema was through Shyam Benegal's '' Ankur'' (1974). Geetha (actress)
Geetha Kadambee (born 14 July 1962) is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films. She debuted in the Tamil film ''Bairavi'' (as Rajinikanth's sister). Since then she has acted in over 200 films in all major South Indian languages, and in a few Hindi films. She also appears in South Indian television serials. Geetha has won two Filmfare Awards South and a Karnataka State Film Awards and Kerala State Film Awards each. Career Geetha made her film debut with the 1978 Tamil film ''Bairavi'' as the title character in which she played Rajinikanth's sister. She was in her seventh grade when she was cast for the film. She later discontinued her studies to concentrate on her movie career. Kannada
Kannada (; ಕನ್ನಡ, ), originally romanised Canarese, is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the people of Karnataka in southwestern India, with minorities in all neighbouring states. C. H. Loknath (14 August 1927 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor with more than 1000 Kannada plays and 650 films to his credit. Loknath is affectionately known as "Uncle Loknath" or "Uppinakayi" in the industry. His last performance was in a Star Suvarna Channel's TV series titled ''Priyadarshini''. Pandari Bai
Pandari Bai (1930 – 29 January 2003) was an Indian actress who worked in South Indian cinema, mostly in Kannada cinema during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. She is considered Kannada cinema's first successful heroine. She has acted as both heroine and mother to stalwarts such as Rajkumar, M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan. She was the heroine in Rajkumar's debut movie ''Bedara Kannappa'' and also Sivaji's debut movie '' Parasakthi''. She has acted in over 1,000 films in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Bai was honoured by Kalaimamani from the Tamil Nadu government.
