Arun Sankosik
Arun Sankosik ( th, อรุณ แสนโกศิก; 8 May 1925 – before 2007) was a Thai athlete and sports coach. He was best known as a rugby player, playing several international events with the Thai national team and becoming its first coach in 1954. He was a member of the board of the Thai Rugby Union as well as its head coach, and also played football and athletics, competing in the men's 100 metres event at Thailand's first Summer Olympics, Helsinki 1952. He worked as a teacher at Vajiravudh College, serving as housemaster of Chitralada House and the school's head rugby coach, until his retirement in 1986. Sena District
Sena ( th, เสนา, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, central Thailand. Local people typically know the populated centre of Sena as Ban Phaen (). Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Phak Hai, Bang Ban, Bang Sai (), Lat Bua Luang and Bang Sai () of Ayutthaya Province. Athletics At The 1952 Summer Olympics – Men's 100 Metres
The men's 100 metres sprint event at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland was held at the Olympic Stadium on 20 and 21 July. Seventy-two athletes from 33 nations competed; each nation was limited to 3 runners. The final was won by American Lindy Remigino, the fourth consecutive victory by a different American. Herb McKenley won Jamaica's first medal in the men's 100 metres with his silver, while McDonald Bailey's bronze put Great Britain on the podium for the first time since 1928. The final was "probably the closest mass finish in Olympic 100 metre history" with the first four runners all clocking in at 10.4 seconds hand-timed, all six finalists within 0.12 seconds electric-timed (10.79 for first, 10.91 for sixth), and a photo finish necessary to separate the winners. Vajiravudh College is a private all-boys boarding school located at 197 Rajvithi Road, Dusit District, Dusit, Bangkok 10300 Thailand.
