Types Of Inhabited Localities In Russia
The classification system of inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries. Classes During the Soviet time, each of the republics of the Soviet Union, including the Russian SFSR, had its own legislative documents dealing with classification of inhabited localities. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the task of developing and maintaining such classification in Russia was delegated to the federal subjects.Articles 71 and 72 of the Constitution of Russia do not name issues of the administrative and territorial structure among the tasks handled on the federal level or jointly with the governments of the federal subjects. As such, all federal subjects pass their own laws establishing the system of the administrative-territorial divisions on their territories. Artyomovsky (russian: Артёмовский) is an urban locality (urban-type settlement) in Bodaybinsky District of Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. Population: Administrative status As a municipal division, Artyomovsky is the capital of the Artyomovsky Urban Settlement (Артёмовское городское поселение) municipal unit, which includes the Kropotkin urban locality, as well as the villages of Aprilsk and Marakan. Geography The locality is located in the Patom Highlands by the Bodaybo, a tributary of the Vitim, northeast of the town of Bodaybo. The Kropotkin Range rises near the settlement. Artyomovsky, Sverdlovsk Oblast
Artyomovsky (russian: Артёмовский) is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Bobrovka River (Irbit River, Irbit's tributary, Ob River, Ob's drainage basin, basin), northeast of Yekaterinburg. Population: History Founded in 1665, it was originally called Yegorshin povytok, after Yegorsha Kozhevin, a Cossacks, Cossack who owned the land. The village later became known as Yegorshina derevnya; in 1864 its name officially became Yegorshino (). A coal deposit was discovered in the vicinity of the village in 1871. During Soviet Union, Soviet times, a settlement Imeni Artyoma () was established near the coal deposits. In 1938, Yegorshino and Imeni Artyoma were merged into the town of Artyomovsky.
