Arthur Meredyth (died 1732)
Arthur Meredyth (March 1639 – 4 May 1732) was an Irish politician. Meredyth was the second son of Thomas Meredyth and Letitia Fortescue, and the grandson of Richard Meredith. He was High Sheriff of Meath in 1679 and 1682. Meredyth was the Member of Parliament for Navan in the Irish House of Commons between 1692 and 1713, and again from 1715 to 1727.E. M. Thomas Meredyth (died 1677)
Sir Thomas Meredyth (died 1677) was an Irish politician. Meredyth was the son of Richard Meredith and Sarah Bathow. He was admitted to Trinity College Dublin in 1609 and to Lincoln's Inn in 1628. On 15 July 1630 he was knighted by his step-father, Adam Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus. Thomas Meredyth (c. 1680–2 — 14 January 1731/2) was an Irish Member of Parliament from Newtown, County Meath. Biography Meredyth was Chief Prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas from 1701. He sat in the Irish House of Commons for Wexford from 1713 to 1714, for New Ross from 1715 to 1727, and for Navan from 1727 until his death. He was a Tory. Richard Meredith (bishop)
Richard Meredith (sometimes Meredyth) (died 3 August 1597) was the Church of Ireland Bishop of Leighlin from 1589 until his death. Life Meredith, descended from Gruffudd ap Cynan, was from Denbighshire, Wales. He was the son of Robert Meredith of Llanfair Talhaiarn and the nephew of George Smith, Chancellor of St. Asaph. He was educated at the University of Oxford, matriculating in 1568 and obtained degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in 1573 and 1575 respectively from Jesus College, Oxford. In 1578, he was prebendary at Brecon collegiate church and the rector of Barton, Pembrokeshire; in the following year, he became vicar of his native Llanafan Fawr in Brecknockshire and in 1580 the rector of Nangle, Pembrokeshire, and prebendary of St David's Cathedral, where his father's first cousin, Richard Davies, was bishop.
