Arthur Mariano
Arthur Nory Oyakawa Mariano (born 18 September 1993) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the Brazilian national team. He participated in the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, placing fourth in the horizontal bar and 12th all-around. He won the bronze medal in floor exercise at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He is the 2019 World Champion on horizontal bar. Early life Mariano was born in 1993, in Campinas, to a Brazilian father and a Japanese mother. He practiced judo in a club as a child, following his father's footsteps. Mariano changed his mind after watching a gymnastics class. After his parents' divorce, Mariano moved with his mother to São Paulo, where he entered in a gymnastics team in another club. When he was eleven, Mariano joined Esporte Clube Pinheiros. Mariano won the Brazilian Child Gymnastics Championship when he was fourteen. Campinas (, ''Plains'' or ''Meadows'') is a Brazilian municipality in São Paulo State, part of the country's Southeast Region. 2021 Pan American Gymnastics Championships
The 2021 Pan American Gymnastics Championships was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2021. Three gymnastics disciplines were contested: artistic gymnastics (from June 4–6), rhythmic gymnastics (from June 11–13) and trampoline (from June 11–13). The event was originally to be held in the United States but was changed due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. The event serves as qualification to the 2020 Olympic Games. 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the forty-sixth edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from 23 October – 1 November 2015 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and is the first time that Scotland hosted the event. The competition served as a qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Japan won the men's team all-around competition for the first time since 1978, and the United States won the women's team all-around title for the third straight time. In the individual all-around competitions, Kōhei Uchimura and Simone Biles won their sixth and third successive title, respectively. Qualifying in thirteenth place, team Romania failed to automatically qualify to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1966. Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses.
