Arthur Margetson (27 April 1887 – 13 August 1951) was a British stage and film actor. Margetson worked as a stockbroker before he became an actor. In 1936, Margetson married actress Shirley Grey. Phileas Fogg () is the protagonist in the 1872 Jules Verne novel ''Around the World in Eighty Days''. Inspirations for the character were the American entrepreneur George Francis Train and American writer and adventurer William Perry Fogg. Fictional biography Fogg is a man of independent means and is a gentleman who is "exact", as in has a perfect and a routine life right down to the number of steps he walks to the temperature of his shaving water. Having fired a servant for the latter, he hires Jean Passepartout as a new servant. Fogg makes a wager of £20,000 (£2.4 million in 2022) with members of London's Reform Club that he can circumnavigate the world in 80 days or less. ''Sherlock Holmes Faces Death'' is the sixth film in the Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce series of Sherlock Holmes films. Made in 1943, it is a loose adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Holmes 1893 story "The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual." Its three immediate predecessors in the film series were World War II spy adventures with Holmes and Dr. Watson assisting working to thwart enemy agents, but this one marked a return to the pure mystery film form. Though several characters are military men and there are frequent mentions of the ongoing war, it is not the focus of the story. This was the second of three Holmes films in which Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce and Hillary Brooke appeared together.
