Arthur Jennings (rugby Union)
Arthur Grahn Jennings (born 15 June 1940) is a Fijian-born former politician and New Zealand rugby union international. A lock, Jennings represented Bay of Plenty at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on their 1967 tour of Britain, France and Canada. He played six games for the All Blacks on that tour but did not appear in any test matches. During the 1980s he served as a member of the House of Representatives in Fiji. He was the first Fijian to play for the All Blacks, and is the uncle of Tongan and Australian rugby league representative Michael Jennings. Lautoka
Lautoka () is the second largest Local government in Fiji, city in Fiji. It is on the west coast of the island of Viti Levu, in the Ba Province of the Western Division, Fiji, Western Division. Lying in the heart of Fiji's sugar cane-growing region, the city has come to be known as the Sugar City. Covering an area of 32 square kilometres, it had a population of 71,573 at the 2017 census, the most recent to date. Economic activities Lautoka is known as the ''Sugar City'' because of its sugar cane belt areas. The main Lautoka Sugar Mill was founded in 1903, and is the city's biggest employer by far. They were created as a compromise between demands for universal suffrage on a common voters' roll, and for a strictly communal franchise, with Parliamentary constituencies allocated on an ethnic basis and elected only by voters enrolled as members of specific ethnic groups. Demands for a common voters' roll were first raised by the Indo-Fijian-dominated National Federation Party in the early 1960s, but were resisted by leaders of the indigenous Fijian community, who feared that a common roll would favour Indo-Fijians, who were then in the majority.
