Arthur Candy
William Arthur Francis Candy (19 June 1934 – 25 June 2019) was a New Zealand cyclist who represented his country at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and 1964 Olympic Games. At the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth, Western Australia, Candy competed on the track in the 10-mile scratch race and 4000 m individual pursuit. He was unplaced in the scratch race, while in the individual pursuit he was eliminated in the quarter-finals, defeated by Charlie McCoy from England. Candy competed on the road for New Zealand at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. Alongside Laurie Byers, Richard Johnstone and Max Grace, he rode in the team time trial, finishing in 18th place. Richard Davis Johnstone (23 June 1936 – 18 November 2022) was a New Zealand Track cycling, track and road bicycle racing, road cyclist who participated in the New Zealand at the 1964 Summer Olympics, 1964 Summer Olympic games, the New Zealand at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, 1958 and New Zealand at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, 1962 Commonwealth Games. Johnstone went as an official to two Commonwealth Games, 1986 Edinburgh, Scotland and 1994 Victoria, Canada. He was elected as an official of the boycotted 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Johnstone was a New Zealand National Track cycling coach (1976–1994) and coached the winning team Tour of the Future (1992) in Arizona, United States. He was a New Zealand Cycling Selector. Max Grace (born 14 December 1942) is a former New Zealand cyclist. He competed in the individual road race and team time trial events at the 1964 Summer Olympics. In 1969 Grace switched nationalities to Canadian and went on to win three Canadian National Championships.
